Dear Mr. McGrath:
The most important thing I've learned as a State Senator is that no good leader can do the job alone. I would not be able to accomplish half as much for the citizens of Philadelphia without dedicated volunteers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your help in ensuring that the Home Buying, Refinancing and Credit Seminar, on Saturday, January 15, 2005, was an immense success by sending volunteers to help out. The professionalism, commitment and down-to-earth manner of Patrick McGinley Jr. and the other volunteers were impeccable. I appreciate that they took time out of their weekend holiday schedule to lend us a helping hand.
It is people like you and your organization, Local 1823,that do the hard work to see that our projects and special events are a success-from the set-up until the final cleanup. You give of your time and talent, without asking anything in return. I am grateful for your gift of service to the good people of the 3rd Senatorial District. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for a job well done!
Again, thank you for participating in our event.
Best regards,
Shirley M. Kitchen
State Senator, Third District
