It's Picnic Time Again!
The annual Local 1823 picnic will be held on Saturday, August 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Shore Club in Langhorne, PA.
This year, carpenters Local 1462 and Local 1856 will be joining us!
The picnic is always a lot of fun for the adults and the kids, so come on out to the Shore Club and meet up with your brothers and sisters.
Available at the picnic will be shaded picnic groves, patio areas and locker rooms with heated showers. All pools will be supervised with lifeguards, and recreation equipment such as balls, bats, paddles, etc. will be available.
The Shore Club provides four pools, horseshoes, a DJ, a volleyball and basketball courts, pony rides, table tennis, a playground, a softball field, clown/face painting, miniature golf, rock climbing, a moon walk, human gyro ride, pool tables, foosball table, a water slide, paddle boats and canoes, and a dunk tank.
The buffet this year includes open-pit cajun chicken, steamship round of beef, Italian meatballs and sausage, steamed shrimp, clams and crabs and a full salad bar. Of course hot dogs and hamburgers also will be there, as will corn on the cob, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, watermelon, cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream, snow cones, and five flavors of soda, and beer.
All members of Local 1823 and their immediate families are admitted to the picnic FREE OF CHARGE. Other family members or friends who would like to attend are welcome at the following charge:
Children up to 12 years old - Free Teens 13 to 20 years old - $15 per person Adults 21 and over - $30 per person
